What is the UNB Robotics Club?
The UNB Robotics Club is a student organization at the University of New Brunswick that focuses on designing, building, and programming robots. The club provides hands-on experience with robotics, electronics, and coding, and participates in competitions, workshops, and collaborative projects.
Who can join the UNB Robotics Club?
Anyone from any faculty can join the UNB Robotics Club. The only requirement is that you are a UNB student (and excited to learn about robotics)!
How can I join the UNB Robotics Club?
You can join the UNB Robotics Club by filling out a member registration form found on our Homepage.
Do I need prior experience in robotics or engineering?
No experience in robotics or engineering is required to join the club. We have workshops of varying skill levels and we always have our electrical, mechatronics, and software directors to help if you encounter any problems.
What types of projects does the club work on?
This term, the club is focusing on two exciting hands-on projects: building a planetary rover for the Canadian International Rover Challenge and designing a custom drone for recreational and educational use.
When and where does the club meet?
We meet both in person in HC302, Head Hall, and virtually so everyone can stay involved. You can always find upcoming meeting times and details on our club calendar or through our mailing list updates.
Can I borrow equipment from the club?
Equipment borrowing is done through our project leads. Club members can only borrow equipment like Arduino boards, sensors, motors, and tools IF it is for their projects.
